Fort Hays State is in the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs for the second straight year. The Tigers begin their playoff quest on Saturday (Nov. 17) when they face the University of Indianapolis on the road. Game time from Key Stadium in Indianapolis is 12 pm CT / 1 pm ET. The Teams
Fort Hays State enters the game 9-2 overall, ranked No. 19 in the latest AFCA Division II Poll. The Tigers were champions of the MIAA for a second-straight year and make playoff appearances in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history.
Indianapolis enters the game 9-1 overall, ranked No. 12 in the latest AFCA Division II Poll. The Greyhounds were champions of the Great Lakes Valley Conference by going 7-0. They were 2-1 in non-conference play, the lone loss against Grand Valley State, the super region’s No. 3 seed in the playoffs.
Looking back to last year – Fort Hays State and Indianapolis were the top two seeds in Super Region 3 last year, FHSU as the No. 1 and UIndy as the No. 2. The Greyhounds fell at home in the first round to No. 7 seed Harding, 27-24, while the Tigers fell in the second round at home to No. 4 seed Ferris State, 31-21.
