Men’s soccer remains at No. 1 in region rankings

After winning 11 straight matches, Fort Hays State men’s soccer is in position to make a seventh straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers are slate No. 1 in the latest set of NCAA Central Region Rankings, released Wednesday (Oct. 30). The top two teams in the Central Region are chosen to compete in the NCAA Tournament.

The Tigers wrapped up the first perfect MIAA season in conference history this past week as they defeated Upper Iowa on Friday (Oct. 26), 3-1, and then defeated Lindenwood on Sunday (Oct. 28), 3-1, as well. Santiago Agudelo totaled four goals and an assist for nine points for the week. The No. 2 team in the region, Northeastern State, sits at 13-2-1 overall and has two matches to finish up the regular season.

Tabbed at No. 3 is Lindenwood, keeping three MIAA schools in the mix. Harding rounds out the top four in the region.
