Students at Fort Hays State University are teaming with the Cancer Council of Ellis County for the inaugural Yoga-thon.
The event will be Nov. 8, and 50-minute yoga classes will start at 3 p.m. Additional yoga classes will start each hour, with the final class beginning at 7 p.m.
Teams are allowed up to 10 members for a $50 registration fee, and the fee is due to at the time of sign-up. Teams are asked to find additional donations as well to help raise money for the Cancer Council.
The team that raises the most money will be honored during a basketball game this season. The winners will have VIP seating and be provided dinner and soda at the game. Winning members also will receive a shirt.
The event is sponsored by the Health and Human Performance Club, Phi Epsilon Kappa and the Tiger Wellness Center.
