With Halloween right around the corner, students will soon be dressed in their best or scariest costume! On Thursday, October 25th, this Halloween sprit started early as FHSU Greek Life hosted the Fort Hays Halloween Costume Contest in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Students put on their favorite costume and walked across the stage in hopes of impressing the judges.
Students were allowed to compete in multiple categories. Categories included Best Costume, Most Original, Funniest, Scariest, Best Couple, and Best Group. The costumes were judged on multiple aspects including quality, creativity, clarity, and uniqueness. The winners each received a Starbucks gift card. The winning costumes are listed below:

Best Costume– Ninja
Most Original– Zombie Bruno Mars
Funniest– Shooting Star
Scariest– Red Demon
Best Couple– Buttercup and Wesley from “The Princess Bride”
Best Group– The Wiggles
There were many creative costumes throughout the night. The event was a great kick-off to the Halloween week approaching and got many students in the spooky spirit!
