The 18th-ranked Fort Hays State men’s soccer team begins their six-match road trip with a two-game swing out on the West Coast this weekend. The Tigers will face Point Loma University on Thursday (Sept. 13) before heading north up the coast to take on Biola University on Saturday (Sept. 15). FHSU carries a 3-1 overall record after the first two weeks of the season.
The Tigers are coming off a week in which they fell to No. 2 Midwestern State (now No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll), 2-1 in a neutral-site match in Shawnee, Okla. (Sept. 6), before defeating Metro State in Hays on Sunday (Sept. 9), 4-1.
Junior striker Santiago Agudelo scored two goals in the victory over Metro State, tying Sergio Villalba for the team lead in goals scored. Moritz Walther scored his first goal as a Tiger in the loss to Midwestern State. Luis Torres connected on his ninth goal of his Tiger career and forward Caden Frank scored his first goal of the season off the bench. Ross Boyd leads the Tigers in assists (three) after picking up two over the weekend. Goalkeeper Cullen Fisch has a 3-1 overall record in goal for the Tigers.

This will be the Tigers and Sea Lions first meeting all-time. PLNU enters the contest at 1-2 overall. Junior midfielder Paul Sweet leads the Sea Lions with two goals and four points on the year. Freshman Andrew Kleszewski leads the squad with two assists this season. The Sea Lions return 11 starters from a year ago, coming off a 14-3-2 overall record and an 11-0-2 Pacific West record with a second place conference finish, their best finish in program history.

The Tigers and Eagles are meeting for the first time in history. BU enters the match with a 1-2 overall record. Leo Thompson leads Biola with two goal so far this season. Jonathan Serrano leads the team in assists (two). The Eagles return four starters from a year ago, coming off an 8-8-2 overall record.
