The Fort Hays State volleyball team kicks off the 2018 season this weekend (August 24-25) with four matches against NAIA opponents in Goodwell, Okla. The Tigers will once again open the season with the Aggies Challenge hosted by Oklahoma Panhandle State, marking the third time FHSU has opened the season in Goodwell since 2012.
Fort Hays State has found success inside Oscar Williams Field House, going 12-0 in the building since 2010.
The Tigers open the year on Friday against host Oklahoma Panhandle State at 11 a.m. before taking on the University of Science and Arts at 3 p.m. FHSU will wrap up the opening weekend with two more matches on Saturday, facing off with the University of St. Thomas at 9 a.m. before dueling the University of the Southwest at 7 p.m.
The Tiger volleyball team has dominated the all-time series with Panhandle, winning all 21 matches dating back to 1977. FHSU swept the University of the Southwest in their lone meeting back in 2012. This weekend will mark the first-ever meetings with University of St. Thomas and University fo Science and Arts.
