Severe storms once again made their way through portions of Kansas on Monday night.

While tornadic storms were reported in south-central Kansas, western Kansas had to deal with hail for the second night in a row.

Weskan, located near the Kansas-Colorado line, had a report of 3-inch hail, and the small town of Wallace had reports of 2-inch hail breaking windows in some houses, according to the National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center.

Scott County also was pounded by hail that reached up to 2-inches, and baseball size hail was reported near the town of Amy in Lane County.

Between Ness City and Jetmore, a 70-mph wind gust was reported.

Tuesday’s high is expected to be near 80, with a low near 58 this evening.

There is a 20-percent chance of storms Wednesday, with a 30-percent chance of rain Thursday through Saturday.
