Baseball prepares for four MIAA games this week

The Fort Hays State baseball team takes on both Nebraska-Kearney on Wednesday (April 12) and Northeastern State (April 13-14). The Tigers travel to take on the Lopers on Wednesday, before hosting the RiverHawks for a double-header on Thursday while finishing the series on Friday.

Fort Hays State at Nebraska-Kearney Wednesday, April 11, 2018 6 p.m.

The Tigers travel to take on the Lopers for a midweek contest on Wednesday (April 11) when they gear up for game two of the midweek MIAA series with Nebraska-Kearney. The Lopers lead the season series 1-0 after taking game one in Hays, by a score of 7-0. FHSU leads the all-time series with UNK 130-58.

Northeastern State at Fort Hays State Thursday 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday 2 p.m.

FHSU hosts the NSU for the first time this season as they welcome the RiverHawks to Hays. NSU enters the contest 19-15 overall and 10-11 in conference play.

Addison Kaasch leads the Tiger hitting corps with a .368 batting average. He also leads the Tigers in hits (53), doubles (12) and triples (four). Ryan Grasser leads the squad with 31 runs scored. Dayton Pomeroy leads the Tigers with 12 home runs on the season.
