The Residence Hall Association began their last meeting on Thursday, November 16, before fall break with asking a fun question during roll call: Would you rather see five minutes into the future or 100 years into the future?
RHA’s Vice President brought up two important dates about Student Government Fund Allocations for organizations to remember: December 4 at 4:30 pm is the soft priority deadline, and February 9 at 4:30 pm is the final deadline. However, these dates do not affect individual community councils as their budget is not directed from SGA
If any students are interested in making money on November 25, you are encouraged to contact Brad Haynes at behaynes@fhsu.edu. Students will be helping assist the athletics department during the events happening on campus. Please note that this is not a volunteer event, and you will be paid for the hours you work.
The RHA also passed two votes about an event that is taking place during finals week. RHA plans on having the massage therapy students give massages to students for free in McMindes 2R. Students will also be given snacks during this relaxation event. An 8-0 motion passed unanimously, making the event during finals week; an 8-0 motion passed unanimously to raise the budget for the event to $650.
For more information on this event and others happening in your residence hall, contact your local community council or the Residence Hall Association.
The next meeting for RHA will take place on November 30 at 6:30 pm in the McMindes 2R Classroom.
