In the midst of sexual assault allegations sweeping across Hollywood, another actress has come forward with her story. On Monday, actress Kristina Cohen accused well-known actor Ed Westwick of sexually assaulting her three years ago. Ed Westwick is best known for his role of Chuck Bass on the series Gossip Girl.
Cohen described the alleged assault in detail in her lengthy Facebook post. Cohen begins her post by telling her fans that other women stepping forward with their stories of sexual assault have been both “triggering” and “emotionally exhausting.” Cohen was not sure if she should speak her story, and if she did, would she be heard? Cohen admits that even now, three years after her assault, that she still feels like she was to blame. Cohen goes on to say that she was dating a producer at the time who was friends with Westwick, and it was her boyfriend that took her to Westwick’s home for the first time. Westwick said something that made her feel comfortable, but her boyfriend suggested they stay for dinner, as to not make Westwick feel uncomfortable. Eventually, Cohen went to rest in a guest bedroom, when she allegedly woke to Westwick assaulting her.
Cohen claims that her boyfriend put the blame on her, telling her that she was an “active participant,” claiming that he said she can’t say anything because Westwick would have people come after her, destroying her and ending her acting career. Cohen says that for the longest time she believed him and that she did not want to be “that girl.”
Cohen claims in her Facebook post that she is sickened to see men like Westwick respected in such a public way and that she hopes that her coming forward “will help others to know that they are not alone, that they are not to blame, and it is not their fault.”
Cohen is the most recent of allegations against powerful Hollywood stars, and to read more of her story, visit this link: https://www.facebook.com/kristina.kruz.5/posts/10211729772336179
