Crazy For You is a play that will take place from Wednesday, October 2nd to Friday the 4th at 7:30 p.m. and an additional show at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, October 6th in the Felten Theater at Fort Hays State University.
Samie Piefer, an FHSU theater major explained that the play was about a banker named Bobby Child, who had to face a tough decision, whether to stick with his love of the theater his bank was going to foreclose or to do his job and foreclose it. He eventually chooses and theater and falls in love.
“It’s a marvelous play and most of the music is by George Gershwin, which a lot of the audience members would recognize. Most of the songs are sung by jazz musicians. The FHSU theater department will be collaborating with the orchestra as well,” Piefer said.
Piefer has high expectations for the show.
“Expect great music, great sounds, lights, laughs, and a new flyrail which is a piece that changes the backdrop allowing the scene to be changed quickly,” Piefer said.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in the Memorial Union.
