Fort Hays State men’s soccer looks for its first win of the season on Thursday (Sept. 8) in Laredo, Texas taking on Texas A&M-International. The Tigers enter the late week matchup with a 0-1-1 record to start the season, while the Dustdevils are 1-1. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
The Tiger offense has struggled in their first two matches, scoring one goal in each contest. This is a drop from last season when they were averaging 2.1 goals per game. Leading the offense so far this is Maurizio Costa who has a goal and an assist to his credit.
Dustdevil Ryan Hodgson should be the key focus of the Tiger defense entering Thursday night’s matchup. Hodgson has all three Texas A&M-International goals this season and is tied for first in the Heartland Conference for points with six.
