On Monday, May 30th, the Kansas Commission on Veterans’ Affairs will hold their 12th annual Memorial Day service at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetary in WaKeeney. The service starts at 10am and features Amanda Legleiter of the American Legion Riders speaking. In addition to Ms. Legleiter, those in attendance include VFW Post 3449, the Kansas National Guard’s Color and Honor Guard, Cavalry Reenactment Troop lead by Jake Bauer, American Legion Riders, Kregg Howell, Travis Phillps, Hays High Barbershop Chapter Chorus, Larry Henderson, VFW Auxiliary and Father Charlie Steier.
Seating is limited and all are welcome.
The Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery is located at 403 South 13th Street, WaKeeney, Kansas just off of Highway 40.
