No. 7 Tigers Host Southwest Baptist in Annual Pink Game Saturday

Fort Hays State hosts Southwest Baptist today  at 2 pm in the annual Pink Game at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. FHSU will wear white and pink jerseys in promotion of breast cancer awareness. The No. 7 ranked Tigers enter at 19-2 overall and 13-2 in the MIAA, while SBU enters at 12-9 overall and 7-8 in the MIAA.

Fort Hays State is coming off a 70-57 win over Central Missouri on Thursday night. The win gave Fort Hays State its 100th win at home under head coach Tony Hobson. In last week’s overtime win at Nebraska-Kearney, Hobson reached 150 wins overall at FHSU. Most important, the win kept FHSU a half game back of the MIAA lead, held by Missouri Western at 20-2 overall and 14-2 in the MIAA.

The Tigers look to avenge a loss to the Bearcats earlier this season in Bolivar. Southwest Baptist won the first meeting by a score of 82-71. The Bearcats are coming off a loss at Nebraska-Kearney on Thursday evening.

With 10 points on Thursday evening, Beth Bohuslavsky reached 800 points for her career. She also has over 300 assists and over 300 rebounds in her career. She ranks fifth on the all-time assist list at FHSU.
