PITTSBURG, Kan. – Fort Hays State track and field competed at the Pittsburg State Invitational on Friday (Jan. 31). Jake Morrow and Jordan Carroll both hit NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the meet.
Morrow improved upon his provisional mark in the pole vault. He cleared a height of 15 feet, 11.75 inches to finish 11th in the event, which featured Division I competition and some of the best vaulters in Division II. Morrow now ranks 11th on the national performance list.
Carroll jumped 47 feet, 4.25 inches in the triple jump to hit a provisional mark for the second time this year. His best mark this season is 47 feet, 5.75 inches. Carroll finished fourth in the event. He was 12th in the long jump at 22 feet, 1.75 inches. Carroll currently ranks 27th on the national performance list in the triple jump.
