After Dark is a FHSU sponsored evening full of fun and entertainment, free to students and open to community members. This semester’s After Dark will tomorrow, January 22nd from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am in the Memorial Union and the theme is “Frightful Delight.”
This year the activities that After Dark is bringing to FHSU include singer songwriters Shane and Emily, a fortune teller, a tarot card reader, build your own bamboo, and finding out your family crest. Along with the activities there will be free food and a rootbeer keg provided.
Along with engaging activities, people who enter into a drawing and stay until the 1:00 end time are eligible to win prizes such as a flat screen TV, a hoverboard, and an Amazon Echo.
In the past After Dark has provided an array of activities for students to do; everything from bouncy castles, movies, arts and crafts, henna tattoo artists, free food, and more. It is always a hit for students. “After Dark is a really great opportunity to have fun for free and it also gives students an alternative option for entertainment on the weekends” says Felix Albl, a senior who has been to 6 After Dark events since attending Fort Hays State.
After Dark is sponsored by the Center for Student Involvment, the Memorial Union, University Activities Board, and Chartwells.
