KANSAS CITY, Mo. Fort Hays State Football had 16 student-athletes named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for the 2015 season. Redshirt-freshman Doyin Jibowu earned MIAA Scholar-Athlete honors along with being named to the academic honor roll.

To be a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, athletes must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms. To earn the Scholar-Athlete Award, athletes must earn All-MIAA status in their respective sport and carry a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Newcomers (transfers and true freshmen) will be recognized in the summer.

Doyin Jibowu earned the Scholar-Athlete Award after being named to the All-MIAA Third Team on defense. He holds a 3.51 GPA while currently working towards choosing a major at FHSU.
