One of Chicago’s strongest comedians is showcasing her talents at Fort Hays! This Thursday, November 5th at 7:30 p.m. in Cody Commons, Memorial Union, the University Activities Board is hosting comedian Kellye Howard. This is a free event available to all students and staff at Fort Hays State University.
Kellye Howard has been called Chicago’s boldest comedian, having been featured on Comedy Central and the 8th season of Last Comic Standing. She has been showcased on Nickelodeon’s Mom’s Night Out, as well as Wanda Syke’s Herlarious. Howard boasts a wide variety of network appearances including TBS, NBC, WGN, and FOX. Her boisterous personality and hilarious anecdotes make her a must-see comedian.
Recently, Howard has become a part of the Vine craze, creating a series of short comedic videos for both Vine and Youtube. She has also started two comedy troupes,“Whiblasian” and “Chicago Comedy Team.” The main focus behind these troupes is to create comedic content that will be enjoyable for people around the world.
Emily Leiker, a junior at FHSU, expressed her anticipation in seeing Howard’s stand-up. “I’m excited to see Kellye Howard because I have really enjoyed the comedians that the UAB has brought to campus in the past. I’m sure it is going to be a really funny show!”
The UAB is thrilled to be welcoming such wonderful comedic talent to the Fort Hays campus. Through this event, students will get the opportunity to experience something different from their normal Thursday activities, and see a terrific, free performance! With Kellye Howard’s large variety of comedic material, it should be a show enjoyed by both students and staff at Fort Hays State University.
