Fort Hays State Men’s Soccer enters a pair of key road matches this week, starting with No. 14 Upper Iowa on Thursday (Oct. 8) before heading to Lindenwood on Saturday (Oct. 10). The Tigers (7-3 overall, 1-1 MIAA) are a half game back of each team in the MIAA standings.
Upper Iowa is out to a 7-1-1 start this season and sits at 2-1 in the MIAA. The Peacocks’ only loss of the season came against Lindenwood last Saturday. Upper Iowa, Lindenwood, and Northeastern State are all tied for the MIAA lead at 2-1, but the Tigers could vault the pack this week with a pair of wins. Lindenwood is currently 6-3-1 overall. It’s lone conference loss was to Northeastern State.
The Tigers dropped out of the NSCAA Division II Top 25 for the first time this season on Tuesday, but look to knock off a pair of teams that have been in the Top 25 at some point this season.
