Learning about world hunger and how to make a difference in the fight against poverty and hunger is the purpose of the 2015 Hunger Banquet, 6 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the Robbins Center on the Fort Hays State University campus.
Tickets are for a suggested donation of $5. The event is open to the public.
“Along with dinner, there will be a silent auction. We welcome the community’s support to make this year’s event a success,” said Stacey Smith, director of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Program at FHSU. The event is a service-learning activity for her international tourism class, which is hosting the banquet in partnership with the Global Leadership Project.
