Keehn and Tien Wrap Up Indoor Season at NCAA Championships

Fort Hays State’s Cory Keehn and Brady Tien wrapped up the indoor portion of the track and field schedule by competing at the NCAA Division II Championships in Birmingham, Ala.

Keehn competed in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters. He was just one place shy of All-America status in the 3,000 meters, finishing ninth with a time of 8:13.06 to break his own school record set earlier this year. In the 5,000 meters he ran a time of 14:30 to finish 11th

Tien was unable to clear the opening height of 15’9″ in the pole vault, so his shot a earning All-America honors for the indoor season two consecutive years came up short.

FHSU opens the outdoor season, March 27-28, with the Alex Francis Classic in Hays.
