Fort Hays State University women’s track and field competed at the Nebraska Tune-Up and Kansas State Open on Friday. FHSU had two top-three finishers at Kansas State.
Mindy Wilson finished third in the 600-yard run in a time of 1:29.62, the best mark in the event by an FHSU woman this year. Courtney Geiger tied for third in the shot put with a distance of 36’0.75″.
At Nebraska, Micki Krzesinski turned in the best 1-mile time by a FHSU woman this season, a time of 5:13.22
FHSU now turns its focus to the MIAA Championships next weekend (Feb. 27-Mar. 1) at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo.
