AP and CNN has reported this morning that at least 12 people are dead after a terrorist attack on the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris today.
Video released from the attack show the three masked gunmen with AK47 rifles entering the Charlie Hebdo offices and firing on journalists and police, and a fourth driving the getaway car. Five people were seriously injured, killed in the attack are ten journalists and two police officers according to the police spokesmen.
The gunmen are still at large and French officials say they are gravely concerned that more attacks are imminent.
The White House has already condemned the shootings and offered France any assistance they may need.
The US State Department is working to secure Americans in Paris. The initial reports are that the gunmen yelled out “God is Great” and “We have avenged the Prophet!” as they fled the scene.
French officials report that a massive manhunt and investigation is underway.
