On Friday, the Ellis County Historical Society, 100 W. Seventh St., will host the 20th Annual Christmas Open House from 7 to 9 p.m. in conjunction with the Hays Arts Council Winter Gallery Walk.
During the event admission to the museum will be free along with horse-drawn hay-rides, holiday treats, live holiday music and shopping available in the Museum Store.
The ECHS was founded preserve and identify items and historical sites in Ellis County and share them with citizens and visitors.
Regular hours for the ECHS are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays, 1 to 6 p.m.
