Tigers welcome Cameron for non-conference action on Saturday

Fort Hays State closes out a week of play this Saturday, Nov. 22, welcoming Cameron to Gross Memorial Coliseum for a non-conference matchup. Game time is set for 2 p.m.

Last time out, the Tigers (2-1) broke the school record for points in a single game, defeating McPherson College, 120-39, on Wednesday evening.  Kate Lehman led the Tigers with 30 points and eight rebounds, playing just 17 minutes of action.  Jill Faxon had 15 points, joining Payton Hoeme (11 points), Beth Bohuslavsky (11 points) and Sarah Pimental (10 points) in double-digit scoring.  Jenna Ulrich matched Lehman with eight boards while adding nine points.

For the season, Lehman is averaging 21 points and nine rebounds per contest, while Faxon’s 14.5 points per game is second highest on the team.  Bohuslavsky has dished out 13 assists on the year to go with a 10.7 points per game average.  Both Faxon and Bohuslavsky have grabbed 4.3 rebounds per contest.

The Aggies (0-2) dropped contests to Arkansas-Fort Smith and Harding last weekend, and are led by three players with double-digit scoring averages.  Brandi Leal leads the team with 13.5 points per contest, while Jazzmine Robinson is averaging 12.0 points per game and Jade Herl has an 11.0 points per game average. Robinson’s 8.5 rebounding average paces Cameron, and both Charron Montgomery and Cristina Soriano have six total assists for the year.
