David-PerdueRepublican candidate, David Perdue takes early lead in Georgia’s U.S. Senate Race carrying 60%, 298,586 votes, of the vote with only 394 precincts reporting.

As the first vote are counted, polls show Purdue ahead of democratic candidate Michelle Nunn and libertarian candidate Amanda Swafford.

David Perdue is a successful business leader with 40 years of real world business experience who helped grow some of America’s most recognizable companies including Sara Lee, Haggar, and Reebok.

Georgia has emerged as a major battleground in the national fight for control of the Senate. The possibility of a runoff looms with polls still suggesting a tight race.
