Swinging Bridge Park is a park for parties, Frisbee golf and riding bikes; everyone has been there at least once. Located by Highway 183, not many know of the purported ghosts of Swinging Bridge Park.
The story says that a girl went to a party in the park, got drunk and decided she wanted to go home. Her boyfriend offered to take her, but she decided that she would rather walk. As she was crossing the highway, she was hit by a car and killed. Her ghost has been seen walking the bike paths that crisscross the park.
Another story says that two friends were riding down one of those bike trails and as they were riding in the tall grass they saw a girl walking in front of them. They swerved to miss the girl and when they turned to see if the girl was hurt, she was gone. They looked for evidence that this girl was real although the tall grass was unbroken and there was no indication that anyone had walked through the grass. As they continued their ride, they came across the ghost again sitting on a high tree branch wearing a torn shirt and shorts. They took another lap around the trail, when they returned, the girl was gone.
