Content creators wanted
Tiger Media Network is searching for individuals with a passion for creating content and telling stories for our student-driven multimedia website. Individuals with interest or past experience with video production, electronic newsgathering, print journalism, still photography, graphic design, audio/music production and/or any other forms of multimedia storytelling are encouraged to apply. Those interested in camera operation or studio tech are also encouraged to apply.
Additionally, anyone with prior experience or interest in being on-camera or on-air talent, such as hosting newscasts, radio shows, podcasts, etc., is encouraged to submit an application.
Tiger Media Network content creators are responsible for generating content for tigermedianet.com, Fort Hays State University’s online student news dissemination platform, as well as creating video and audio content for playback on our online and terrestrial television station and online radio network.
Prior experience with video, audio, print and writing, audio, and production is encouraged, but not necessary. Candidates will be subject to training and instruction on equipment, policies, etc. upon hire.
Tiger Media Network provides employees with an opportunity to explore the content production industry while learning and developing their skills in a supportive and learning-oriented environment. Furthermore, Tiger Media Network employees develop professional portfolios and reels which can be used in post-graduation job searches.
This is a paid position where creativity, self-motivation, ability to work with others and independently, willingness to take constructive criticism, and flexibility in hours are some of the traits necessary to succeed in this job.

Sports production crew
In search of individuals with a passion for sports who want an up-close and personal view of collegiate sporting events.
Tiger Media Network is searching for candidates to be on the live sports production crew for all home Fort Hays State University football, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, and some men’s and women’s soccer games.
Positions needed include the following:
- Camera operators
- Play-by-play and color commentators
- Studio Analysts
- Audio operators
- Graphics Creation
- Replay Operators
- Additional roles as needed
Leadership roles within the team can be made available to individuals who show promise and dedication to sports production.
Prior experience with sports production, video and/or audio production, on-air talent is preferred but not necessary; however, candidates will be subject to training prior to employment.
Candidates will also need to be available for all home football games, as well as all men’s and women’s basketball games if possible. Additional availability for volleyball and soccer games is preferred as well. Weekly hours are contingent on availability regarding this schedule.
Candidates also have the opportunity to be selected to be on the crew for the MIAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament in Kansas City during the spring, where our crew helps produce live broadcasts and studio shows for the entire tournament.
