The group also promotes bystander intervention.\u00a0It&#8217;s On Us hosted a Letters to Survivors event earlier this week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FHSU junior and organization president Kyleigh Woodward came up with the idea last April, and this semester is the group&#8217;s first active semester.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" data-effect=\"slide\"><div swiper-pagination-white\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The inspiration came from other universities with their own student-led chapters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt doesn\u2019t always have to be heavy and like super in your face and sad,\u201d she said. \u201cYou can just hear the words like assault, consent, you know, you don\u2019t have to get down about it, but you\u2019re reminded.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Woodward said It&#8217;s On Us was originally a White House PSA campaign in 2014.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUniversities and celebrities did those PSA videos like \u2018It\u2019s On Us to stop campus sexual assault,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cIt kind of evolved into a nonprofit, and I think they have over 260 college chapters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organization currently has 15 members, with plans to grow.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They plan to have different events and post about them regularly on their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/fhsuitsonus\/\">Instagram account<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c[People] can just stop by and maybe get a treat, do a project, and still take something away from it,\u201d Woodward said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October and February, they will host themed events currently in the works. More information will be shared in the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group also collaborates with Jana\u2019s Campaign and Options on events and plans to do more events, such as Cards for Survivors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s On Us will be screening the documentary, \u201cAudrie &amp; Daisy\u201d at 6:30 p.m. tonight in Fischli-Wills 104.
