Nex-Tech Community Engagement Specialist Friday Otuya spoke to the Student Government Association about who they are and what they do at Thursday\u2019s meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe do internships, we help students understand more about technology, and learn more about the community,\u201d Otuya said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He then explained that they focus on summer internships, which are not only for the students who study technology, but also for those who want to focus on the business side of Nex-Tech. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also said they do more than just the internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u201cWe do cybersecurity, for example, we use security, surveillance and coding,\u201d Otuya said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otuya also spoke about their bimonthly newsletter.<\/a> He said this is a great spot to stay updated on what is going on throughout the business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nex-Tech is also the internet provider for FHSU and is a football sponsor. He said you can find a Nex-Tech sponsor at most on-campus events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In new business, five bills were up for their first reading.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Bill No. 25. F.103, Delta Zeta has requested to move funds from one line item to another and that $1,200 from \u201cNMALC Hotel\u201d be moved to a newly created line item, \u201cFounder\u2019s Day Registration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bill No. 25. F.104 proposes Delanee Bedore be considered for a senate seat for the Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bill No. 25. F.105 proposes Ella McKee be considered for a senate seat for the Werth College of Science, Technology, and Mathematics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bill No. 25. F.106 proposes Tayton Roberts be considered for a senate seat for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bill No. 25. F.107 proposes Kyleigh Woodward be considered for a senate seat for the Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These will be voted on next week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
