The Tigers won by scores of 8-0 (5 inn.) and 12-6, finishing their quick trip to Colorado 3-1. FHSU hit five home runs on the day, including four in the first game.\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/88307087-5508-4272-8645-96838e5f0d06?elinkdata=251769\">Lilly Mohr<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0hit two bombs in the first contest to tie the FHSU single-game record, accomplished for a 33<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fort Hays State 8, Adams State 0 (5 inn.)<\/strong><br>Fort Hays State used the long ball to generate six of their eight runs in a run-rule victory over Adams State. The Tigers did all of their offensive damage from the second through fifth innings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sisters&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/2054f47f-a6dc-4f6d-8c19-e15efb7fbe5b?elinkdata=251769\">Lilly Mohr<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/7ab7bbb7-2c7d-4fc0-9bf6-66fc393898fb?elinkdata=251769\">Lexi Mohr<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;accounted for three of the four Tiger home runs in the game. Lexi walked in front of Lilly in the second inning and Lilly launched a two-run homer to put the Tigers up 2-0. Then a&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/b30ef0e6-5f24-46dc-a55e-ffe82068a6b7?elinkdata=251769\">Paige Thexton<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;double set up a&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/536275b6-6b67-424c-9499-5c9c02d75ae4?elinkdata=251769\">Jules Bosco<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;RBI single later in the inning to make it 3-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lilly delivered another blast in the third inning, this time a solo shot to make it 4-0.&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/8b96d56c-449f-46ab-8788-0d5125e0680f?elinkdata=251769\">Kaydawn Haag<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/f9532a84-6074-4424-831a-212045b3e352?elinkdata=251769\">Jules Bosco<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;had back-to-back doubles in the fourth to make it 6-0, then&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/2d297fc1-2461-46d0-a7c5-a62158660f32?elinkdata=251769\">Madison Pierce<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;launched a solo bomb down the left field line to make it 7-0. The Tigers immediately brought the run-rule into effect in the fifth when Lexi launched her home run, a solo shot, to end the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/037898eb-5eef-4e64-87e6-78c85e0d0ef5?elinkdata=251769\">Morgan Schmidt<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;threw the first two innings of the game and struck out four.&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/f8f8c1e4-ae5e-4aee-a628-c7d40c88535a?elinkdata=251769\">Korryn Johnson<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;relieved Schmidt in the third and threw three innings, striking out three. Schmidt did not allow any hits, while Johnson allowed two. Johnson picked up the win in relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fort Hays State 12, Adams State 6<\/strong><br>A six-run sixth inning was the difference maker for the Tigers in a 12-6 win over the Grizzlies in the second contest of the day. FHSU held a 3-1 lead through three and a half innings before Adams moved in front 4-3 with a three-run bottom half of the fourth. With the big inning, FHSU jumped on top 9-4 and then added three more runs in the seventh to finish the game with a sizable lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Early in the game,&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/0faa1523-1014-4113-9dec-f0a081637b52?elinkdata=251769\">Lexi Mohr<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 1-1 in the second. The Tigers scored a go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the fourth and then Mohr had another RBI, this time on a single to make it 3-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Down 4-3 in the sixth,&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/f644856d-2706-49dc-9b18-d63c9edf8f54?elinkdata=251769\">Kaydawn Haag<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;tied up the game with an RBI single and then&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/38612e16-02f7-4c2a-9ea0-257893e34aad?elinkdata=251769\">Madison Pierce<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;put the Tigers back in front with a two-RBI single.&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/8ceec922-17d2-4e2a-aeb4-961a20fecad7?elinkdata=251769\">Abbey Duarte<\/a><\/dfn>eventually capped the big inning with a 3-run home run, the first of her collegiate career. Up 9-5 in the seventh, Haag added a two-RBI single and a wild pitch scored another run. FHSU went on to win by six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/4c80f330-27e8-4c5b-ad15-3bb5bf8c4580?elinkdata=251769\">Savanah Egger<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;threw a complete game with seven strikeouts and seven hits allowed. Only four of the six ASU runs were earned. She moved to 6-4 on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fort Hays State will be back in action at home this weekend on Sunday when University of Mary comes to Hays for a doubleheader.
