{"id":85127,"date":"2025-02-24T13:45:02","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T19:45:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tigermedianet.com\/?p=85127"},"modified":"2025-02-24T13:45:05","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T19:45:05","slug":"tmn-weekly-weather-report-the-sun-after-the-storm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tigermedianet.com\/?p=85127","title":{"rendered":"TMN Weekly Weather Report: The Sun after the storm"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Story by ADIA REYNOLDS Graphic by HANNAH CRAWFORD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tiger Media Network<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ray Burgert, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Dodge City, discussed a three-week overview that explained last week\u2019s weather in comparison with the upcoming weather patterns on the horizon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe excessive cold of last week was due to an unusually cold, bitter, and dangerous front from northern Canada,\u201d Burgert said.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The weather pattern traveled almost directly south from Northern Canada, bringing with it temperatures that plunged into the negatives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily, this week brings the retreat of that storm and a steady incline in temperatures.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe cold air mass is going to slide east and we\u2019ll get more seasonal warmth this week\u2026 the middle of the week will not be nearly as cold due to pacific maritime fronts over the Rockies,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Burgert also anticipates a dry period other than Friday flurries around I-70. However, the odds of snow remain low, rarely higher than a 5% chance.
