For those looking for a new holiday sweater this season, the FHSU Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) is selling \u201cUgly Sweaters\u201d now through Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have always loved the \u2018ugly Christmas sweater\u2019 designs that pop up around this time of year,\u201d SHRM Fundraising Committee member Jessalyn Kirchhoff said. \u201cI also have always loved FHSU and wearing gear\/merch that represents my pride for our school. Pair those two loves together and boom, ugly sweater fundraiser.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sweaters come in two crew-neck options – black or gold and can be purchased through Redeem<\/a>. Each crewneck is $25 and orders close at 11:59 p.m. on  Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SHRM is the world\u2019s largest association devoted to human resource management, and the funds raised will allow FHSU SHRM members to travel to Australia during spring break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe trip’s purpose is to provide meaningful international experiences for students pursuing careers in business,\u201d SHRM Advisor LeAnn Brown said. \u201cStudents will learn about Australian management styles and employment laws and gain insight into a culture different from their own.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For student organizations, fundraisers are crucial for trips like these. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFundraising provides support for students to attend events, workshops, and activities that their current financial situation may not allow them to participate in,\u201d Kirchhoff said. \u201cIn our case, an educational experience to Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kirchhoff said fundraising events help develop teamwork, communication and financial management skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese experiences not only enrich the campus community, but also prepare students for future career challenges while creating a sense of pride and ownership within their specific club,\u201d Kirchhoff said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
