The Tigers are now 3-0 at home so far this season and it was the 10<sup>th<\/sup>-straight win over the RiverHawks, a streak that goes back to 2014. NSU moved to 0-3 on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tigers scored seven in the opening quarter and 10 in each quarter following. They had 389 total yards of offense and held the RiverHawks to 257.&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/cae42698-8ee2-4bce-a2dc-4411fffd7e6e?elinkdata=236864\">Shane Watts<\/a><\/dfn>finished with 158 all-purpose yards with 118 rushing and 40 receiving. It was his second 100-yard rushing game of the season, helping the team to a season-high 184 on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fort Hays State opened its scoring with a 9-play, 41-yard drive, capped on a 23-yard screen pass touchdown from&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/72e898a4-d8eb-46ab-9721-32d47bfbcb34?elinkdata=236864\">Jack Dawson<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/be3bff4e-9636-4bdc-bb6f-e6fdd39b3fc2?elinkdata=236864\">Shane Watts<\/a><\/dfn>. The lead moved to 10-0 on a 32-yard field goal by&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/0e0e9100-157a-4c52-a44c-0bfac63f09b1?elinkdata=236864\">Carson Arndt<\/a><\/dfn>in the second quarter. The big play in the game to keep NSU from scoring and shifting all the momentum back in FHSU&#8217;s favor occurred late in the second quarter. NSU had a bad snap at the FHSU 6-yardline go over the head of its quarterback and&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/745ff4e9-4913-4334-b807-22d6bbb228ae?elinkdata=236864\">Benyon Williams<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;scooped the ball and scored a touchdown on an 81-yard fumble return. FHSU led 17-0 at the half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the third quarter,&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/645d2e06-8124-47ec-9682-61932f933039?elinkdata=236864\">Carson Arndt<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;converted a 35-yard field goal and then&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/323645ad-a2a0-4105-8552-a5f043e9c458?elinkdata=236864\">Shane Watts<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;scored his second touchdown of the day on a 2-yard run. In the fourth, Dawson found&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/6970a7cf-9837-41cc-a9d3-11425c2ad64c?elinkdata=236864\">Jayden Horace<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;in the back of the endzone for a 3-yard touchdown pass. Arndt capped the game&#8217;s scoring with a 22-yard field goal with just over a minute to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawson finished with 175 yards passing, completing 20-of-32 attempts.&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/05d72cca-212f-4e14-bced-0a5d8c0b9dc0?elinkdata=236864\">Trevor Watts<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;led in receiving with eight catches for 50 yards. Defensively&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/3b41a80b-d47e-4863-90f1-bd8567ddd7cc?elinkdata=236864\">Mason Perez<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;led the Tigers with seven tackles, while&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/145939e0-7db8-4e2a-8ef1-44cf3ac9ff3f?elinkdata=236864\">Jack Hileman<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/5b59eb4b-daea-4572-b9b5-9400f9b0258c?elinkdata=236864\">Makel Williams<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;each had six.&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/a264467f-4f56-4ee5-8f24-b2b6b80112db?elinkdata=236864\">Jaxon Kolzow<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;had a forced fumble in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The remainder of FHSU&#8217;s schedule is all conference games. The Tigers head back on the road next week to Central Oklahoma. The Bronchos were ranked No. 25 in the latest&nbsp;D2Football.com&nbsp;Poll after knocking off Top-10 ranked Central Missouri a week ago.
