All but one of the other finishers inside the top 23 were NCAA Division I runners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fort Hays State was the top NCAA Division II team, beating four other DII programs. FHSU&#8217;s nearest DII competitor was Washburn nearly 100 points behind with 172.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transfer&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/ef675736-0592-4d9a-9003-906dbb8dd4e3?elinkdata=235646\">Emily Diercks<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;was the top Tiger placer in the 112-finisher field, completing the five-kilometer trek in 17:53.1. Returning All-Region finisher&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/3b81d4d9-4cfd-4de2-9b9d-ea49d32b0140?elinkdata=235646\">Jaycee Vath<\/a><\/dfn>joined Diercks in the top 10, placing 10th with a time of 18:00.8. Freshman&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/592a8843-5df2-40be-9aa8-659a7cdfa254?elinkdata=235646\">Emma Weiner<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;made her collegiate debut with a 17th-place finish, crossing the line in 18:21.2. Transfer&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/f9dfd7bb-7363-451f-8d0f-a0a451f37d0e?elinkdata=235646\">Taylor Hoskinson<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;finished in 20th place with a time of 18:42. Senior&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/f2675e8d-c008-44df-9a93-4c9d91aae22f?elinkdata=235646\">Darian Hudgeons<\/a><\/dfn>rounded out the scoring lineup after traversing the course in 18:46.5, good for 22nd place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tigers will next compete this Friday (Sept. 13) when they host the FHSU Tiger Open at Rolling Ridge Cross Country Course. Three newcomers were in the scoring top five for FHSU that combined for 116 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/916da866-2b13-49c9-9303-fb35d8718b3d?elinkdata=235675\">Jaret Pfizenmaier<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;was the top Tiger finisher in the 130-man field, placing seventh with a time of 18:23.8. Transfer&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/89499f0e-bb85-4b45-9c71-f86a9569ec43?elinkdata=235675\">Christian Darrah<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;was 26th after crossing the line in 18:57.2, followed closely by&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/fef6c3fe-f6c1-441d-a5a0-88c5a85bd476?elinkdata=235675\">Brady Stegman<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;who finished in 18:59.7 to place 29th.
