The Central Cup took place at Belton High School earlier this month. This is a freestyle dual tournament for high school girls and is one of the biggest freestyle events held in the metro area for preseason competition. This year, seven teams competed for the grand prize. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is team Red Venom who placed first in this tournament. They are led by coach Susan Redmond. \u201cThis was a great first experience and we are excited to be a part of this tournament,\u201d Redmond said. \u201cOur girls fought hard and it was a team effort today to take first.\u201d

Even though we came up short, it was great to compete.\u201d

MoWest also brought two teams to this tournament. MoWest Fire Dragons placed third and are led by Greg Linhart. \u201cIt is always a goal to achieve the highest goal but that was not the case today,\u201d Linhart said. \u201cI am proud of our girls and they are positives to take away.\u201d
