JOPLIN, Mo. – Fort Hays State’s\u00a0Grant Bradley<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0earned All-Region honors after finishing in 21st-place at the 2022 NCAA Division II Central Region Championships Saturday morning (Nov. 19), helping the Tigers to a 13th-place finish in the team standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bradley completed the 10-kilometer course in 30:13.0 to finish inside the top 25 and earn All-Region distinction after shaving more than a full minute off his 10k time from last year’s regional meet. Ethan Fisher<\/a><\/dfn>finished 56th with a time of 30:54.3, while Jaret Pfizenmaier<\/a><\/dfn> crossed the line in 31:07.1 to place 64th. Cori DeBoest<\/a><\/dfn> turned in a time of 31:15.3 to come in 75th place before Javyn Contreras<\/a><\/dfn> rounded out the scoring in 98th place with a time of 31:48.3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bradley is the 14th competitor on the men’s team to earn All-Region status during head coach Dr. Jason McCullough<\/a><\/dfn>‘s tenure at FHSU. It is the third-consecutive regional where a Tiger earned All-Region honors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gidieon Kimutai was the first of four Missouri Southern runners to finish in the top 15, taking the individual crown with a time of 29:09.4. The Lions captured the team title with 70 points, just two in front of Nebraska-Kearney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ort Hays State sophomore Regan Hodsden<\/a><\/dfn> earned All-Region honors at the 2022 NCAA Division II Central Region Championships Saturday morning (Nov. 19), helping the Tigers to a 10th-place finish out of 36 teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hodsden placed 15th in the field of 233 runners, crossing the finish line in 21:02.4. Darian Hudgeons<\/a><\/dfn> finished 49th with a time of 21:52.5, with Jaycee Vath<\/a><\/dfn> placing 56th after completing the six-kilometer race in 22:02.1. Elizabeth Fender<\/a><\/dfn> was 65th with a time of 22:17.6 while Emily Salmans<\/a><\/dfn> rounded out the scoring five after traversing the course in 22:17.6, good for 65th place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hodsden is the ninth All-Region performer on the women’s side during head coach Dr. Jason McCullough<\/a><\/dfn>‘s tenure and the first to do so since 2018. It was the 11th time the women have placed inside the top 10 at regionals in McCullough’s 17-year run as head coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lindsay Cunningham of Winona State won the race after crossing the line in 19:34.8, 45 seconds faster than her nearest competitor. Augustana placed all five runners in the top 25, taking the team title with 62 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
