PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Fort Hays State track and field team racked up six second team All-America honors on day one of the 2022 NCAA DII Indoor Championships Friday (March 11).

Ethan Lang<\/a> moved on to the finals of the 800m run after finishing second in his heat with a time of 1:51.62, ninth overall in the field.

Nolan Churchman<\/a> sits in eighth in the heptathlon through four events with 3,002 points. He racked up a high of 897 points in the 60m dash when he crossed the line in 6.96.

Lyric Holman<\/a> picked up a pair of second team All-America honors after placing 10th in the 60m prelims and 11th in the 200m prelims. The junior posted a time of 7.51 in the 60m race before completing the 200m lap in 24.53.

Philip Landrum<\/a> also earned second team All-America in both sprints after finishing ninth in the 60m prelims with a time of 6.80 and 11th in the 200m race with a time of 21.56.

Mattie Rossi<\/a> grabbed second team All-America honors with a 12th-place finish in the prelims of the 60m hurdles after crossing the line in 8.62. Alexandra Hart<\/a> rounded out the second team All-America recipients with a ninth-place finish in the high jump after clearing the 5-7 bar on her second attempt.

Lang and Churchman will be joined by five other Tigers in competition on Saturday, with Rossi entered in the pentathlon, Taylor Savolt<\/a> and Xavier Robinson<\/a> both competing in the triple jump and Ryan Stanley<\/a> and Jacob Clark<\/a> both competing in the pole vault.
