But even with some of our graduate students, research is not always their interest,” said Ginger Loggins, professor of journalism at FHSU. “So, I think it’s great to give them an opportunity to try something that might be a little out of their comfort zone and maybe they’ll find out that they really like it.”

Beyond the
possibility of a monetary award, SACAD offers students, faculty, and staff the
opportunity to network and collaborate.

Steven Bolin, a school psychologist in the Hays USD 489
school district and a 2019 SACAD winner, said the event provides a learning
experience for all involved.

“My favorite part of it was not only getting to present, but I think it was cool to walk around and see what other people were doing,” he said. “There were a couple of years that I picked up different ideas from other people because most people who submit something are there because they like doing research and they have ideas.”

For more information, visit the SACAD Event and Submission
Details page.

By JAMEY CHANEY INF 240 Get your creative and research submissions ready, the 17th annual John Heinrichs Scholarly Creative Activity Days returns to Fort Hays…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[3397,3398,11

post-63626","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-area-news","category-campus-news","category-news
["GET
