FHSU defeated East Central 5-4 on Monday (Feb. 21) before falling 5-0 to Oklahoma Baptist in the second contest of the day.<br><br><strong>Fort Hays State 5, East Central 4<\/strong><br> Fort Hays State scored first and never trailed, but had to hang on late in a one-run victory over East Central University. <a href=\"https:\/\/linkprotect.cudasvc.com\/url?a=http%3a%2f%2ffhsuathletics.com%2fservices%2fgo.ashx%2ff0f55938-8253-48d8-bac9-7dd72e32ce3d%3felinkdata%3d181285&amp;c=E,1,r6gKpkzRKVAfzMFSM9HzOcmEx7Ng1snXHn5Em6gpFwR1K5LzAPOEpq9EiL25q0i4GnGmxmDAuIK1aVsxfG_wAn2a0VWtnSKxEFvCNzC4DIqcQhNPpHw,&amp;typo=1\">Regan Curry<\/a> put the Tigers on the board in the second inning when she drove home <a href=\"https:\/\/linkprotect.cudasvc.com\/url?a=http%3a%2f%2ffhsuathletics.com%2fservices%2fgo.ashx%2f8ff0bfbd-b722-4594-9069-220c9df9ecb1%3felinkdata%3d181285&amp;c=E,1,p_dVdrp7kI9NK33-54ng5AcZV0Wkj47-MhuCwevW23EUhw1vv3EuAGIx_94gv59S9yBtvJ1lm_j6WWLLpVrrQWEhtHMLimWXXx9K85RwgaQr8A,,&amp;typo=1\">Sara Breckbill<\/a>. Two runners were on base already and Kelly flew all the way around to score on a play that should have been the third out of the inning.<br><br> The three-run scoring play proved to be the difference in the game. East Central hit a solo home run in the sixth to cut the FHSU lead to 5-2. East Central rallied late in the seventh inning, down to its last out when it scored two on a 2-RBI double by Kenzie Lasker. She allowed eight hits and walked three, but struck out seven for her first collegiate win. Taia Harris threw a complete game for East Central, allowing eight hits and two walks, while striking out 11.<br><br><strong>Oklahoma Baptist 5, Fort Hays State 0<\/strong><br> Fort Hays State struggled to get anything going offensively against Oklahoma Baptist.
