Fort Hays State University is celebrating its 111th anniversary of distance learning as one of the best online programs in the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FHSU\nOnline continues as a national leader in providing high-quality and affordable\nonline education to students in Kansas and across the globe. Distance education\nat FHSU began in 1911 when the university delivered correspondence coursework\nto rural teachers through the mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\na report released this week, U.S. News & World Report recognized FHSU as\namong the best in the nation in six different online education categories. Fort\nHays State\u2032s online programs were among more than 1,700 programs reviewed by\nU.S. News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heading\nthat list in 2022 was FHSU\u2019s online master\u2019s in nursing program, which was\nranked in the top 30 \u2013 29th among the top 179 schools ranked. The latest U.S.\nNews ranking also placed Fort Hays State 31st for its online master\u2019s in\neducation programs for veterans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FHSU\u2019s\nonline bachelor\u2019s in business program ranked 61st among 228 programs, and three\nother online programs were also mentioned among the nation\u2019s best: master\u2019s in\neducation, bachelor\u2019s programs for veterans, and online bachelor\u2019s programs.\nMore on FHSU\u2019s rankings can be found at https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/education\/online-education\/fort-hays-state-university-155061\/rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S.\nNews began its higher education rankings program in 1983, and it has published\nonline degree program rankings since 2013. U.S. News assesses schools\nbased on a variety of categories depending on program level and discipline,\nincluding engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials and training,\nservices and technologies and student excellence.
