Fort Hays State University is once again addressing the needs of students, the agricultural industry, and the regional workforce with the launch of a new Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in agribusiness<\/a>. This innovative online and on-campus program was developed by the Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship (RCOBE), working in partnership with the Department of Agriculture in the Werth College of Science, Technology and Mathematics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis will prepare students for management and leadership\nroles in one of the most critical, fast-moving, and high-tech industries in the\nworld \u2013 agriculture,\u201d said Dr. Muhammad Chishty, dean of RCOBE. \u201cThe new\ncourses in agribusiness were created by faculty from the agriculture department\nwho are specialists in the discipline. Our program is unique in combining the\nMBA degree with an agribusiness concentration\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agriculture is the single largest economic\ndriver in Kansas, contributing nearly $65.7 billion annually to the Kansas\neconomy and generating more than 254,000 jobs through direct, indirect, and\ninduced-effect careers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Kansas is a national leader in\nagriculture and innovation in the food, fiber, energy, education, agribusiness,\nand animal health sectors. The diverse industry is driving career growth and\ninvestment opportunity here in Kansas and around the world,” said Dr.\nBrian Sancewich, assistant professor of agriculture. “FHSU’s new MBA in\nagribusiness concentration is preparing students to excel in the highly specialized\nagriculture industry whether that’s in at a sole-proprietorship or a Fortune\n500 company.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students can now enroll in Fort Hays State\nUniversity’s new MBA in agribusiness<\/a>, online or on campus. The\nonline concentration was designed for working professionals, enabling them to\nget the degree by taking online classes while still working full time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Robbins College of Business MBA program\ncourses are offered in five accelerated, eight-week terms during the calendar\nyear, providing more choice and flexibility. It helps students finish the\nprogram more quickly and has dedicated professional advisors to help guide\nstudents through the MBA process. The MBA program also has a rolling admission\nprocess that allows for multiple start dates throughout the year and does not\nrequire the GMAT or GRE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MBA in agribusiness option provides a\nseamless pathway for traditional students to complete an MBA \u2013 some completing\na bachelor\u2019s and MBA in only five years through FHSU’s Bachelor of Business\nAdministration (BBA) to MBA program. The accelerated program is designed for\nhigh-performing BBA students desiring\nan MBA in an accelerated time frame. Qualified students have the opportunity to\nearn a BBA and an MBA in a 4 + 1-year time frame \u2013 saving time and earning\nvaluable credentials.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RCOBE at Fort Hays State provides an engaging and rewarding\nenvironment for students to develop into tomorrow\u2019s business leaders. Motivated\nstudents can earn an MBA online in as little as one year and for less than $12,000.\nThe MBA in agribusiness is one of 15 career-related concentration areas\navailable, allowing students to expand their knowledge in a specific\ndiscipline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
