Fort Hays State head cross country\/track and field coach Dr. Jason McCullough<\/a> has announced the promotion of Jonathan Graupmann<\/a> to Associate Head Track and Field Coach.

“Coach Graupmann has done a tremendous job for us over the last three seasons,” said McCullough. “This promotion is a way for us to recognize his success to date and his continued hard work in our program.”

Graupmann has served as assistant track and field coach at Fort Hays State for three years after joining the Tiger coaching staff in advance of the 2018-19 season. He has helped coach four All-MIAA performers and five additional athletes that have earned All-MIAA honors as a part of a relay team, including two MIAA Champions in Philip Landrum<\/a> and Matthew Pieper<\/a>. Four of his athletes earned All-American honors this season, including two individuals and two on relays.

“I’d like to thank Dr. Tisa Mason, Curtis Hammeke<\/a>, Brad Haynes<\/a> and coach McCullough for this opportunity. I look forward to continue working with coach McCullough, the rest of our awesome staff and all of our incredible student-athletes as we keep building this program together in pursuit of winning MIAA and national championships.”

A graduate of Ohio Northern University and Tiffin University, Graupmann has received extensive training through USA Track and Field, earning USATF Level 3 certification in sprints\/hurdles\/relays while receiving Level 2 training in endurance events and jumps. He has also attained International Association of Athletics Federations Level 5 coach distinction and is an instructor for the USATF Level 1 Coaching Education Course. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
