Fort Hays State University alum Hayden Hutchison is joining the FHSU Foundation as a director of development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHaving known Hayden since\nhis days as a Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship student\nambassador, I couldn\u2019t be more excited to have him join our team,\u201d said Jason\nWilliby, president and CEO of the FHSU Foundation. \u201cHayden has a passion for\nFort Hays State University and our entrepreneurship programs \u2013 it\u2019s clear in\nevery interaction I have ever had with him. He\u2019s also a great listener, a trait\nI admire.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hutchison will fill a position that\nopened when Jason Ball took over as CFO-elect with current Chief Financial\nOfficer, Francine Hestermann, retiring this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a director of development\nfor the Foundation, Hutchison will be responsible for raising endowment,\ncapital, and other financial support to meet the funding needs of the\nuniversity. As the Journey campaign \u2013 the largest fundraising campaign in\nschool history \u2013 comes to an end this fall, Hutchison will help ensure a\nsuccessful close to the campaign and will continue to cultivate lasting\nrelationships with current and future donors and alumni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom my\nexperience representing FHSU and the Robbins College of Business and\nEntrepreneurship in a variety of roles, I\u2019ve learned how important the\nrelationships among alumni, donors, and FHSU are for the future of our\nuniversity,\u201d Hutchison said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his undergraduate\ncareer, Hutchison \u2013 an Association for Entrepreneurship USA Student Award\nwinner \u2013 served as a Robbins College ambassador and student assistant for the\ndean and director of entrepreneurship. Since graduating in 2019, he has\nremained close to Fort Hays State. As an academic advisor for the university,\nHutchison developed strong interpersonal skills in facilitating and managing\nrelationships with FHSU donors and alumni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to join the\nFoundation team and to work toward advancing the mission for FHSU,\u201d Hutchison\nadded. \u201cI\u2019m especially excited to continue managing existing relationships, as\nwell as cultivate future relationships with alumni and donors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
