She joins Chloe Bohuslavicky from Northeastern State, who was named Hitter of the Week. Nelson posted a 1.83 ERA in three appearances at the Edmond Regional Festival, which included a complete game win over Southern Nazarene.<br><br> Nelson received the winning decision in Fort Hays State&#8217;s lone win of the weekend, allowing just one earned run in a 3-2 win over Southern Nazarene. She scattered five hits and walked two, while striking out four in the complete game effort. She took a tough-luck loss in 4.2 innings of relief against East Central, allowing just three hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.
