Fort Hays State University closed out the year of 2020 with nine different programs ranked in the top 10 by organizations evaluating online higher education programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Topping the list for the\nfinal rankings of 2020 was the Department of Nursing, which was ranked No. 1\namong the most affordable online master\u2019s in nursing educator programs by\nnursingschool.com. The program is completely online, so it provides the\nflexibility that a lot of students need. Designed for current working nurses\nwho want to transition into education, this MSN covers the educational topics\nthat apply to the nursing field. Students benefit from a combination of a\nflexible course timeline as well as the chance to interact with their fellow\nstudents. Two FHSU programs received\nNo. 2 rankings \u2013 the master of business administration (MBA) and diagnostic\nmedical sonography. For business students looking for the lowest-risk\ninvestment in an MBA program, ValueColleges.com<\/a>\neditors researched online and hybrid programs from accredited trusted colleges\nand universities across the United States. Value Colleges ranked programs\naccording to one simple metric: tuition cost, according to current IPEDS\ndata. The top 25 rankings list can be seen at https:\/\/www.valuecolleges.com\/ranking\/cheapest-online-mba-programs<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The diagnostic medical\nsonography program was ranked second by Accredited Online Colleges. The program\nis 124 credit hours in duration, with the major elective courses comprising 30\ncredit hours, which students can obtain by choosing from a large list of\nrelevant imaging classes. Those who have completed a radiologic technology\nprogram from a non-degree-granting institution may find FHSU\u2019s program\nparticularly advantageous to their educational pursuits, as the university\ngrants up to 46 credits toward the degree for prior related coursework. Ranked fourth, by BachelorsDegreeCenter.org<\/a>\nfor fast-paced degrees was FHSU\u2019s political science program. Finding a\nfast-track program is easy, but finding a good one can be difficult. Bachelor\u2019s\nDegree Center features only accredited, reputable colleges and universities\noffering accelerated-format degrees. Programs are ranked by their cost,\nreputation, and salary potential, using data from Niche and IPEDS. These\naccelerated political science degree programs are available both online and on\ncampus. Learn.org<\/a>\n\u2013 a free online resource for students and career seekers \u2013 ranked two FHSU\nprograms in the top six: hospitality and management, third, and online\nelementary education, sixth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn.org<\/a>\nnoted that students interested in a career as an innkeeper, a restauranteur or\na hotel manager should explore FHSU\u2019s online bachelor’s degree in hospitality\nmanagement. Its program gives students a\nwell-rounded background in business and tourism and hospitality management\nthrough core classes. FHSU was featured by OnlineMastersColleges.com<\/a>\nas one of the top 20 in the nation for affordability and value for online\nmaster\u2019s education programs. The organization\u2019s educational specialists\nresearch various universities that offer online master\u2019s programs in different\nsubjects and rank them based on affordability and quality of the programs. FHSU\u2019s gerontology program earned a 10th<\/sup>-place ranking\nfrom Accredited Online Colleges, which stated that \u201cFort Hays State University\npromises to provide one of the highest quality educations available.\u201d The\nbachelor of general studies option gives students a broad liberal arts\neducation while allowing them to gain expertise on the aging population.\nStudents who choose the gerontology concentration complete 21 hours of\nconcentration-specific courses.
