Ellis County residents have been encouraged by the ECHD to use the portal for the most local and up-to-date information regarding the ongoing pandemic. Additional information can also be found on the department\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/elliscokshealth\">Facebook<\/a> page.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday, October 26<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New cases: 24<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Cases per Day, 7 Day Average: 8<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Active COVID-19 Cases: 93<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Active Hospilizations: 7<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recovered Cases: 1,261<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Positive Tests: 1,289<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total Tests: 10,225<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Percent of Positives: 12.6%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7 Day Average, Percent of Positives: 15.2%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total Deaths: 18<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Probable Cases: 83<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total Cases: 1372<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wednesday, October 28<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New cases: 44<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Cases per Day, 7 Day Average: 9<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Active COVID-19 Cases: 98<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Active Hospilizations: 5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recovered Cases: 1,300<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Positive Tests: 1,325<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total Tests: 10,334<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Percent of Positives: 12.8%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7 Day Average, Percent of Positives: 20.4%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total Deaths: 18<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Probable Cases: 91<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total Cases: 1,416<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FHSU COVID-19 Response<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every Tuesday, Fort Hays State University provides COVID-19 statistics on campus via their online <a href=\"https:\/\/fhsu.edu\/covid-19-response\/dashboard-reports\">COVID-19 Dashboard<\/a>. According to the dashboard, from the period of October 17 to October 23, 15 COVID tests were performed in the Student Health Center with four returning positive. Two students were in on-campus quarantine during this time with one additional student in off-campus isolation.
