The Ellis County Health Department released information Thursday that the county saw its first case of the coronavirus in a local patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last week, the county had reported a positive case in a patient at the local hospital, but the patient was from outside the county. Those cases are recorded in the county the person resides in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Thursday’s release, the health department said the patient — a 30-year-old male — is in home isolation and following proper guidance of the county health department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
