During the week of March 23, residents will receive a ballot in the mail to vote for the two proposed sales tax plans. Voters will have the ability to vote for one, both, or none of the plans. Residents have until April 7 at noon to cast their ballots.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, the commission will hold several town hall meetings within Ellis County, the next being a Hays Town Hall meeting March 11 at the Hays VFW. The commissioners share an enthusiasm for these meetings and look forward to educating the public.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just excited for the future town hall meetings. I\u2019m excited about the questions we\u2019ve received at the town halls before,\u201d said Second District Commissioner Dustin Roths. \u201cI think everybody should know and understand that our main purpose in these things is information. We just want people to be able to come and ask the questions they want answered, and give our best answer to them.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Information on the sales tax plan is available on the Ellis County Commission website, and informational pamphlets have been sent in the mail to county residents. Both mediums contain similar info; frequently asked questions on the sales tax plan and the answers to those concerns. (Link below).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.ellisco.net\/669\/Sales-Tax-Election-FAQs\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ellis County Commission is scheduled to meet for the final time in March this Monday, March 16. The commissioners will continue providing resources to the public and will hold more town hall meetings next week. The following is the upcoming town hall schedule (excluding the March 11 Hays meeting).
