Soon to be making its way onto the Hays dining scene is Fuzzy\u2019s Taco Shop, a Mexica-Baja eatery with a cool vibe and cold beer. With tasty food, creative drinks, and an affordable menu, store co-owner Shane Coyne is confident that the new location will be right for Hays.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom the college students to families with young children, there is a place and menu choices for everyone,\u201d Coyne said. \u201cIt will be a place that no matter what time of day, you can get in and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
out fast if you want, or stick around and enjoy a game and your friends. Plus, it won\u2019t drain your bank account.\u201d
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also helping to ensure a successful business launch is co-owner Tom Lovewell. Lovewell is the previous owner of Whiskey Creek in Hays, as well as the general manager of Applebee\u2019s and Golden Corral. This experience in Hays made it that much easier for Lovewell and Coyne to pull the trigger on opening Fuzzy\u2019s in Hays.

\u201cTom has a long history of running restaurants here, so it was just a natural fit to open one in Hays and give a little back to our hometown–make a positive impact on the community and those who will work on our Fuzzy\u2019s team,\u201d Coyne said.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fuzzy\u2019s Taco Shop is on track to open before the end of March and will be offering deals and discounts to promote the new location.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe studied many well-known franchise models and Fuzzy\u2019s stood out above the rest for many reasons,\u201d Coyne said. \u201cOther than the word \u2018taco\u2019, everything else about Fuzzy\u2019s will be kind of unique for Hays.\u201d
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the Fuzzy\u2019s Taco Shop chain currently features nearby stores in Wichita and Topeka, Fuzzy\u2019s CDO Michael Mabry said he hopes that the new location will be a great opportunity for both Hays and the Fuzzy\u2019s franchise.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coyne is excited for Hays residents to experience Fuzzy\u2019s and to give back to the community.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are so excited to open a place like Fuzzy\u2019s in our hometown and serve those wonderful people and the community that gave us our start and continue to develop others toward their future,\u201d Coyne said.
